6 Years Of Eastenderz Pt 1

A milestone six years for Eastenderz, with just shy of 40 releases in that time. Eastenderz returns with two landmark releases to celebrate the 6th year of the label. For the Part 1 of this anniversary release, Eastenderz treat you to a four-track showcase with Floog’s interplanetary peak time roller ‘Games of Drones’ and Cosmjn’s bright arp-infused house bumper ‘Cosmo Acids’ taking the A side. Flip it over and Vlad Arapasu brings the heat with ‘Egoland’, another minimal warper powered by punchy basslines, floating synth touches and a percussive chopped vocal. Finally, Wickham draws for a squelching breaks cut in the form ‘Mello’ to perfectly close out Part 1.

Nicolás Jaar has announced details of a new album. Cenizas will be Jaar’s second album of the year following 2017 – 2019, a compilation released under his Against All Logic alias in January. Cenizas is out via Jaar’s Other People label. It is his first album under his own name since 2016’s Sirens.

He then moved to New York, where he initially worked with Latin jazz musicians such as Willie Colón , Eddie Palmieri , Tito Puente and Celia Cruz . He then turned to the fusion of jazz, funk, salsa and African music and performed with George Benson , Herbie Hancock , Ravi Coltrane and Toshiko Akiyoshi , but also with pop musicians such as Gloria Estefan and Marc Anthony.

His First album “Percussion Maddness” was produced by Louie Vega & LQ and was released on BBE Records.
